Monday nights at River Spirit Casino are ladies night so we took the very short one mile or so drive to the casino from our hotel, used their valet service, and proceeded to get player’s club cards. We hoped that after rating our play at each property, we might receive a hotel comp or food comp from a host or player’s club representative. In searching for hotels, we decided to stay at a partner hotel of River Spirit, which offered a slight discount, and then reserved a room at Hard Rock.
Cherokee Casino Tulsa became Hard Rock Tulsa when it signed with the Hard Rock brand and spent $155 Million on its remodel/expansion, which included new restaurants, shops, hotel tower, and The Joint concert venue. Creek Nation Casino became River Spirit Casino with a new $195 Million dollar resort (no hotel) and event center. Not only are there great sights, restaurants, and shopping malls, but in recent years, Native American casinos in the area have made some major upgrades. This Spring Break, we decided to head down I-44 to Tulsa, OK for a few days.
